** REVERSI **

Reversi is played on a square board with
8 blocks on each side. This game may be
played by one person against the
computer or two people against each
other.

The game starts with four chips in the
center of the board, 2-BLACK & 2-WHITE
and the pointer in the bottom right-hand
corner block of the playing board.

The object of the game is to get as many
of your opponent's pieces as you can by
stategically positioning your pointer
where you can get the best moves then
press the <Return> key to enter your
move. The player with the most number of
chips wins.

To Move The Pointer:

To move the pointer around the
board, use the arrow keys, plus the
1,3,7,& 9 keys on the Numeric Keypad may
be used to move the pointer diagonally.
The pointer will wrap around the board
if desired.

*** Note: NumLock must be ON. ***

To begin game:

1. Boot computer with DOS

2. Insert REVERSI disk into drive A.

3. At the "A>" prompt, type "REVERSI"
(do not type the quotes)

4. Press <RETURN>

5. Follow directions on screen and
answer all prompts.

** REVERSI **

One Player Option:

When playing in the "One-Player"
mode, you will have the BLACK chips and
the computer will have the WHITE. You
may choose to go first if you wish.
(Default = Human Goes First)

There is no time limit. The
computer thinks of its move extremely
quickly and will blink the pointer in
the block in which it will move, and
after it has moved, the pointer will
remain in its last move unless it could
not find any moves and therefore had to
forfeit. If the computer forfeits its
move, it shall flasf "FORFEIT" on the
screen then it will put the pointer in
the center of the playing board.

Play will start with either the
player or the computer making the first
move, then play will continue by
alternating turns until one of the
following happens:

1. Computer or Player loses all of his
chips.

2. All blocks are filled up.

3. Neither computer nor player has a
legal move.

You may abort the game by pressing the
<Esc> key and then answering the prompt
which will appear in the lower right-
hand side of the screen.

** REVERSI **

Two-player option:

In the "Two-player" mode, players
enter their names when prompted, then
play begins as the player with the WHITE
makes his first move. Game continues as
each player takes his moves alternating
between each other until one of the
following happens:

1. Either player loses all of his chips.

2. All blocks on the board are filled up.

3. Neither player has a legal move.

Either player may forfeit his turn only
when there are no legal moves on his
behalf. To forfeit, Press <F> on your
turn and the computer will check if
there are any legal moves. If there are
no legal moves found by the computer,
the computer will flash "FORFEIT" at the
bottom of the screen, then your opponent
will gain control of play. Otherwise, if
the computer finds a legal move after
you have tried to forfeit your move, the
computer will tell you to "MOVE".

If both players do not have any legal
moves, the game is over and the player
with the most amount of chips is the
winner.
