History:

Dead Angle (c) 1988 Seibu Kaihatsu.


Armed only with your trusty Tommy gun, you must exterminate all the main gangster families in order to reach the main kingpin so you can save your girl. Beware, they are waiting for you and will not go down without putting up a fight in this challenging shoot'em up.

- 0.108u2: Aaron Giles removed VIDEO_BUFFERS_SPRITERAM flag from Dead Angle, which crashed.

- 12th January 2006: Guru - Lead Angle (Seibu 1988) arrived from our Japanese contact.

- 30th September 2005: Dumping Project - Our Japanese contact won a Tecmo 'Lead Angle' (licensed version of "Dead Angle") PCB in Yahoo! Japan auctions.

- 0.96u1: Aaron Giles added ADPCM utilities to sound\OKIM6295.c to correct hook up the sound in the Seibu games. Replaced the 2x MSM5205 sound with 2x Custom (8000 Hz).

- 0.94u1: Aaron Giles fixed Dead Angle crashing. Added 2nd YM2203 (3579545 Hz) sound.

- 0.93: Replaced YM2203 and 2x ADPCM sound with 2x MSM5205 (384000 Hz).

- 0.77u2: Added dipswitches 'Service Mode', 'Difficulty', 'Bonus Life', 'Lives' and 'User Mode'.

- 0.76u2: Improved sound in Dead Angle by adding ADPCM sounds [R. Belmont, Jarek Burczynski]. Added 2x ADPCM sound.

- 30th October 2003: R. Belmont added ADPCM sounds to Cabal and Dead Angle / Gang Hunter, with thanks to Jarek Burczynski for decrypting the sample ROMs. David Haywood added Gang Hunter, a Dead Angle clone, but it doesn't work because the controls are not emulated correctly.

- 0.71u2: Inigo Luja fixed dips in Dead Angle. Added 'Cabinet' dipswitch.

- 0.67: Bryan McPhail added Dead Angle (Seibu Kaihatsu 1988) and clone Gang Hunter (Spain). TODO: Verify dips and hook up samples.

- 28th March 2003: Bryan McPhail sent in a driver for Dead Angle and David Haywood fixed one of the graphics planes in it.


PLAY INSTRUCTIONS:

- Don't stand in front of the enemy. Move up, down, left and right.

- Hide behind the obstacles and stay clear of bullets.

- One grenade is worth twenty bullets.

- Shoot'm and get the extra power.
