MAME Info:

0.72u2 [Angelo Salese, Pierpaolo Prazzoli]

< Japan >

WIP:

- 0.141u3: Angelo Salese cleaned up IOX implementation in Speed Attack. Rewritten video routines from scratch, also fixed screen flipping in it. (When you activate the flip screen the graphics are moved over to one side).

- 0.139u3: Atari Ace converted Speed Attack! to driver_data.

- 0.133u1: Various improvements to the Speed Attack driver [Angelo Salese]: Hooked up basic MC6845 crtc, fixing resolution and refresh rate. Added the watchdog. Corrected system clock. Removed a video quirkness (tilemap h/w values were bigger than its VRAM) and cleaned up some other minor stuff. Changed AY-3-8910A clock speed to 3MHz and visible area to 256x256.

- 0.128u3: Angelo Salese fixed coinage in Speed Attack! and cleaned-up the driver to current standards. Changed description to 'Speed Attack! (Japan)'.

- 0.123u2: Changed palettesize to 256 colors.

- 0.100: Aaron Giles fixed palette out of range in Speed Attack!.

- 0.78: Improvements to Speed Attack colours [Pierpaolo Prazzoli]. Removed gfx2 rom cb0-7 (same as cb0-4 rom).

- 0.72u2: Pierpaolo Prazzoli and Angelo Salese added Speed Attack! (Seta Kikaku 1984). Wrong colours. The Speed Attack "key matrix" device maps some buttons with multiple bit activations, for example pressing button A + button B it causes an output of button C. The function converts the bit inputs of the game into the usual way MAME does, and it handles the multiplexer device between player one and two. TODO: Coinage dipswitch doesn't match the readme? Also there are wrong coin insertions even with the bit impulse macro. There are chances that there's a circuitry which controls both... Wrong Colors: the palette entry seems right, but the colortable interface is completely wrong.

- 21st August 2003: Pierpaolo Prazzoli and Angelo Salese submitted a driver for Speed Attack, it's got wrong colors and coin inputs are buggy but is otherwise working.

PLAY INSTRUCTIONS:

- A to D selects a card.

- Turn takes one or more cards into your hand (depends on how many cards you putted on the stacks).
